Went in for a trial class at the beginning of November and within 10 minutes knew I would be signing up afterwards! The first thing I noticed was how clean the gym was and how nice the members and instructors were. Professor Joe has a wealth of knowledge on BJJ and was quick to provided on the spot guidance and insight. Joe has brought a lot of great guest instructors to the gym as well. I have already recommended the gym to a few friends and would absolutely recommend it to anyone whether they are new to jiu jitsu or just looking for a new spot to train

Coach Joe Dockery is not only very talented but has the ability to explain each technique at one's level easily. very friendly environment as well as very clean. Wanted to expand on the limited amount of training I get through work and was not disappointed. I have only been about 10 times and have already learned a lot. Great environment to train in and everyone there, from Professor Joe to each training partner, is there to help you out. Bayshore BJJ supports its students, the local community and law enforcement.

Biography

Hi my name is Sophie Sharp I’m 15 years old and I’m currently a Blue Belt. I have been training Jiu-Jitsu for over 5 years and prior to arriving at Bayshore I trained under Professor Jay Regalbuto. Martial Arts has been a part of my life since a very young age. I started in Taekwondo where I received my 1st Degree Black Belt. In Competition I won 24 Regional Titles, 5 National Championships and 1 World Championship. Since transitioning over to Jiu-Jitsu I have won Gold in the expert division in all of the regional organizations. I have also competed on some of the biggest super fight stages such as Emerald City, Men of War & Finisher’s Sub Only. Through competition and my love for being on the mats I have realized I have a passion for teaching. My primarily focus has been on kids classes and I’m looking to help build our growing women’s program.
